Held hostage by SS?!

Hi All.
Wondering if anyone can help. Was told a week ago to "consider" section 20, or it would be going to court. But since Monday, we have had even more inconsistency from the ss. Current sw on holiday, So we have been dealing with duty all week. They have made me agree to being supervised with all three children, until further notice. We are currently in PLO. Solicitor is unsure as whats going on, as they have stated PLO has ended. But no court being mentioned. I am also now not allowed to be at my house with the children, alone or a family member. Its been half term for us, but i cannot live with family any longer. My two oldest have school on monday and we are staying 45 mins away from home and school. Whilst all this has been going on, my partner has accepted an interim order, in the meantime to contest parts of this SRO the police are wanting, after issueing NFA 8 months ago. I do not understand why they wont let me go home!!! I am being treated like a criminal, and this is really unsettling my three children. We all just want to go home.

Hi.
I hope you were given more information and reasoning to why you have to be placed on an accomodation that's not your home ?
Is it because they can't bar your OH from his own home ?
Is it only on his name ?
It takes LA some time to get paperwork together and secure a hearing date, in my case was two weeks.
I hope you can avoid care proceedings but sometimes in some authorities it's also the only way to move forward.
Best of luck.

Hi, thanks for replying. No the house is in my name only. He has his own house.
My partner hasn't been to my house. The SS have had that in a safety plan from last march, that he wasn't allowed there. But now they are stating because of this SRO the police are pushing for, I cannot be at home. It doesn't really make any sense. All i want is to be able to go home, with my children. I have lost count the amount of times they have told me to end the relationship, and stop all contact with my partner.
I feel its all been blown out of proportion, and they are making mountains out of mole hills by their "assumptions"
My abusive ex partner (father to my oldest 2) has played a huge part in their bullying ways too. Made countless lies, and they have also listened, even when i have provided evidence to wipe his lies out, I am deemed to be unprotective of my children, and prioritising the relatnioship.
Were you in pre-proceedings? How was the court process for you?

Hi A.,
Im sorry you're going through this.
Can I just ask: how long did it take after the NFA for the police to reveal they're going to apply for a SRO?
We had NFA at the beginning of October and I'm a bit worried this could happen to us as well now.
xx

Good news is that you now have access to legal advise. Social workers will not be able to push you around without anyone standing up for you. That's the best part of PLO.
I know this week is half term and people (other than ourselves) have lives and go on holidays. I hope your solicitor can get on to this next week. Pick someone who is experienced on this matter and with your local authority.
I am also told the same that I am not protective, I prioritise the relationship. Just calmly point them to the evidence and do it all the time.
I am in proceedings now. The assessments are being undertaken. (Risk&Protevtive parenting). Family members are being assessed as alternative carers. Adoption checks are being done. It's long and painful.

Hi, Thank you both for replying.
Arrest Jan23, NFA March24, and only just last friday they issued the order. So 8 months, of nothing. No conditions, No restrictions. - I would've assumed when delivering the NFA, This order should've been instructed. Which is something my oh is contesting. As there is such a big gap between end of criminal investigation, to now with the civil matter.
Hearing was on friday, But he accepted interim (So for the time being, accepted all conditions the police are asking of) and the hearing has been postponed until Jan25.
My partner has already undertaken his assessment, I have mine next week. Within the PLO even though alternative carers have been given, to be assessed, nothing has been done about it. With you now being in care proceedings, Did they allow you to keep the children with you? As that is something the social are saying, they will be applying for interim care order.
