could anyone please clarify what this means please. I received this from the OIC this morning:

"I have triaged his devices and now it is in the process of being finalised, and the case will have to be submitted to the crown prosecution service for a charging decision"

does this mean more things have been found? At the knock he was being investigated for 1 cat b image.

also I work in childcare, would this jeopardise my career? So worried now

How long have they had the devices? Triage is usually the term used for prioritising which devices go to the forensics unit for a deep examination.

They have had the devices since April. Does this mean they have already been scanned or does this mean they are getting ready to be scanned sort of thing?

Oh that is quite strage, I would have thought they would have been triaged much faster than that and then left with the forensics unit. It's the latter bit that takes ages. Maybe you could email OIC back for some clarification?

My OHs digital forensic report was completed in October 23, second interview May 24, file with CPS (we think) July/August...still awaiting charging decision. It's been a long road xx

Hi, it means the Police have found evidence that they believe warrants a charge. They've sent the case to the CPS who decide if the case is worth trying to prosecute. You will need to inform your place of work. If I were you I'd do it now. There's nothing they can do at this stage but it's always viewed as a good thing that you've been upfront, open and honest with them. X
