I am sorry if that is a sensitive topic for you and if it is, please dont continue to read. I don't want to offend or hurt anyone.

I bought Halloween costumes for my 2 oldest kids (4 and 2 1/2 years) today and I'll take them trick or treating for the 1st time in their lives this week.

They're wearing their costumes at the moment and are running around it full of excitement and joy.

It just dawned on me that this time last year I would have never considered it as we didn't know the outcome of the investigation.

Maybe this is a sign that I'm slowly healing from this trauma and that we're moving forward after his NFA.

Only a short while ago I felt suicidal because of the investigation and the fear of the future.

Now we can enjoy activities like this. Wonderful.

I am so pleased you are moving on and forward, and pleased you all had a great time. Watch out for the sugar high!

I enjoy Halloween. Tonight once again the dog didn't know why it was dressed as a giant spider and children kept knocking but was a resounding success.

Hi I have read most of your post regarding your partners situation and NFA. My eldest son is going through the same situation. Could I ask what phone your partner had, and you also said he deleted photos from his phone and the app. Did he deleted photos in his phone gallery and then delete kik, thanks for any insight.

He uses both phones for kik? Or one in particular? Thanks for your reply and I'm happy that you got good news. Hopefully I can get the same. He deleted the photos from his phone gallery? And also deleted his kik app? No factory reset on the device?

Hi,

he used both phones, but the Samsung in particular. He deleted all the indecent images from his gallery and he also deleted his kik app.

He didn't do a factory reset. xx

My son was using an iPhone 13, heard it's quite difficult to get deleted data from new iPhones. How long from when he deleted everything until the knock on the door do you know? And did he come across these dreaded links I hear people talking about that these people send? Your journey gives me hope. I'm so happy you and your family can move on from this nightmare

@Momof475

He deleted the last images in January 2022 and got the knock in July 2022.

Yes, he also came across links in groups.

He said that you didn't know what kind of images/videos were in the links.

It could be completely innocent videos as well, like car videos, funny videos....

Hpl111, I remember speaking to you months ago and I'm so glad to hear that you are moving forward after your OH's NFA, I'm not sure this would always be the case after images are deleted so you have had some luck in this awful situation.

My person also had opened links which auto saved images, synced to an unused tablet, an absolute mess. He was charged with around 50 images that were never on any devices, in Scotland because they were available to him via the links on social media he was charged with permitting. Not sure about other UK laws.

We are out the other side and I'm very rarely on the forum now. There is a future past this, it took me me well over year after media to realise that unfortunately.

Did he open said links? And what evidence did the police have to accuse of disturtuting? I have read that they already have copies of the images and videos they say a person sent as it was reported. If they can't find any photos or videos on the phone can they still proceed with charges
