What happens after it all?

Could I ask what happens after charges and sentencing in regards to returning home, supervised access, social services etc if he doesn't go to prison. We have a 14 month old. I understand it is different for each case but just an overall. Having a bad day today and the future seems pretty bleak at the minute. Was hard enough with her 1st birthday and now Christmas rolling round things just won't be the same.
Would it also be okay to ask what your persons charges and outcome were please? Just struggling with it all, 6 months in and devices have just gone in to be examined, I know we still have such a long way to go.

We had a toddler too, and he moved home around 4 months after sentencing. We worked closely with SS and Lucy faithfull, did all the courses we could and he wrote reflective accounts saying what he had learned. He worked with a specialist therapist too.
We did a gradual and monitored move home over a 6 week period. Eg for unsupervised contact this started at me going to the toilet alone, then built to me being out for 20 mins, and so on. We had an extensive safety plan detailing absolutely everything. By the end of the period he was allowed fully unsupervised access, all personal care, overnights etc. We didn't have to have a specialist assessment, but sometimes this is required - and can be expensive if the local authority won't pay.
He had fewer than 10 images, majority Category A. The images were mostly the same gender as our child, but an older age category.
It is hard work to get them home, and some local authorities make it harder than others, but it is possible, and I hope that gives you some hope

We're in a different situation to you in that the offender is my son. My son's marriage ended and he moved back home with us on the night of his arrest. He has young children who spend weekends and school holidays with their Dad at our house under our supervision. Social services closed the case before sentencing as long as my son adhered to their requirement of supervised contact.
His offence was communication and he received a 2 year suspended sentence, community service, a fine and the need to attend the Horizon course, 10 years SOR and SHPO. His SHPO states 'no unsupervised contact with under 18's unless agreed with social services'. Social services didn't agree to unsupervised contact so we continue to provide that but the case has remained closed.
My son can have his children to stay as often as he wants. He's also allowed to take them to play parks, swimming, theme parks etc as long as someone who knows the case goes along with him to provide the supervision.
