Child protection conference...

Evening ladies, I've spent this last week collecting my own evidence and writing replies to all the professional reports ready for our child protection conference tomorrow. I'm so anxious as I don't know what to expect. We are 14 months post knock with trial due in 2026.
Aw Bub I really feel for you. We went to a CPP conference and it wasn't as bad as I thought. There are set guidelines or thresholds they have to prove that you hit before they can move you into a CPP. So if you don't meet any then they can't put you in one. It also has to be based on your CURRENT situation, not what might change. The chair was really professional and considerate and the process was actually really straightforward unlike everything else in this mess. We took supportive people who were able to speak on behalf of and protect our child. We had 4family members all fully aware of our situation and all fully committed to protect our child. You get the minutes and decisions/outcomes and any reports in writing afterwards so you have everything written down which I found helpful as up until that point we'd just been going off verbal conversations and I was really focused on making sure we got everything right and had understood as we'd never had any dealings with child services before and had no idea what to expect.
I'll be thinking of you x

Thank you so much for your reply. I literally have a folder of written evidence ready to show and read at the meeting so I hope they are prepared to listen and let me speak. I also have our good friend/neighbour going with us who knows about our situation and can verify how well our children are cared for and what kind of family we are. She even has a key to our house lol. I'm sat here replying to all the mistakes in the assessment that I was handed yesterday. I've been very tearful and emotional this morning and I hate not being able to fix everything like I normally do. Xx
Good luck xx
