Saying goodbye to all my annual leave

Now I can't share childcare with my husband, and my youngest is too clingy to do the usual 'pre knock' holiday clubs, I've just realised next years' entire annual leave allowance will go on school holidays, and even then I'll have to take at least 5 weeks' unpaid leave to cover the year, and that's if I'm lucky and she goes to a drama club for the 3 weeks it runs.
Obviously I've told him he's paying my lost salary for those 5 weeks, but FFS it's the gift that keeps on giving!

I read your post and thought to myself 'me too'. The difference with me is that my children are all grown up and have children of their own. I'm now using my annual leave to take school holidays off so that I can provide the required supervised contact between my son (who lives with me) and his children, as he shares the school holidays with his ex wife.
