Hi just need a bit of advice on what happens now.

We had the knock in February 24 for my son all devices are now back and he has been told 2nd interview will be this week.

What happens after interview will he be charged? Do they inform his workplace?

Feel like we have lived in a bubble and we are living in a big lie ,sometimes want all this over but now im not sure I can deal with all this, have other things going on in my life and not sure if I want to stay in the bubble.

I know that all this is fast compared to alot of the cases I have read about.

Thankyou just need some advice on what happens

In my persons case 2nd interview was a year after the first. Charges came another 3 years later.
Dont think they would inform workplace unless they are working with under 18s or vulnerable people

Arrested begining of summer 24, 2nd interview a few weeks ago, I'm told it will take CPS around 4 weeks to lodge charges, then around 2 weeks until the first court hearing. It moved much more quickly than we were told and to be honest the speed has been an unpleasant shock, as if he now loses his job I'm in a very bad situation.

Thankyou for your reply. Wow that is all very fast, yes it's such a worry for the future and the next stages. Life has been on hold in some ways .

Hi, we are still in progress but I was told after the 2nd interview it was sent to cps to decide final charges and would be approx 6to8 weeks for this to come back.(they may ask for further evidence which may delay)

Then for it to go through both courts anything between 1 and 4 months.

It seems everywhere around the country is different timescales and may also depend on complexity of case.

The waiting is the hardest.

The feeling of wanting to remain in the bubble definitely resonates with me, but equallly the emotional pressure and stress takes its toll, so stay strong and cry when you need to - all emotions are valid and to be expected in these circumstances. We had arrest sept 23, first interview Feb 24, second interview May/june, went to cps in Aug, charge came through a few weeks ago. Timescales are widely varying so you almost have to accept the pace of your own individual situation but take comfort that there are lots of people here who have experienced each and every stage of the journey and we're all here for you whenever you get to your next stage xxx

Hey,

my persons file was passed to CPS in September and we are still waiting. He is due to show for bail on Sunday, is it likely the police have already had a a response from the CPS and will charge him when he shows for bail or Sunday? Or you would they have called him into the station already?

Has any one ever had a NFA once it's been to the CPS?

sorry for the questions

Hi so we got the knock is February 23, in May he was called for his second interview and then we just waited on them sending his phone off to be further analysed which showed nothing, then it went to cps and he got charged and given a court date in February 24 and was sentenced in June 24. I know of cases that have been alot quicker and cases that have taken a lot longer.
