with regards to the conditions, I am aware he can't delete history, but does that include emails? His Inbox has lots of none important/junk emails.......am I allowed to delete these?

he is currently in prison and I am dealing with his post, emails, bank etc. obviously junk post (eg, broadband offers has just gone straight in the bin), but its emails I don't know what I can do

Hello,

Thank you for posting on the Family and Friends forum, we understand that it is not easy to post on a forum about these difficult situations. I can see that you have not yet had a reply on your post, hopefully someone else in a similar situation can reply soon with some support.

If you haven't already done so, I would also encourage you to contact our Stop it Now helpline. The helpline is anonymous, confidential and free, on 0808 1000 900. One of our trained advisors will then be able to explore your situation in detail and provide some support and do their best to answer your questions. Our trained advisors deal with similar concerns to yours every day and will be able to talk these through with you and offer you the best advice we can.

I hope this has been helpful.

Take care,

The Forum Team

It probably wouldn't be a good idea to delete any emails as they could be considered part of his internet usage.

My OH has created a separate archive folder that he moves everything to, which he previously would've deleted. When he has met with his offender manager, they will go through them and decide if they can be deleted.

We asked this question to his officer in charge. He can told him he can delete emails etc, and all has been okay so far! But ask any questions to the officer in charge. When he signed the SOR, we wrote down a ton of questions about the SHPO and that was one of them.

Hope this helps x
