Advice re job

Hi All,
I hope everyone's week is going okay. I decided to get a second job as I'm worried about finances, etc. The thing is I work with children and the job I applied for is in a school. Police are still investigating and he hasn't been convicted of anything yet. I know my enhanced DBS is clear. The school told me that as part of their safer recruitment process they do additional checks - I'm not entirely sure what that means. I've not declared what's going on as I don't feel I should pay for his crimes and we don't live together. I'm only trying to get a second job because of this mess. Are they likely to find out somehow? Anyone else have any experience of this?

Hi sorry you've not had a response yet. I am not sure what additional checks beyond an enhanced DBS they could do. Perhaps informing LADO and having a discussion between school, council, social services, police?
