Hi, my ex is under investigation but not charged with iioc. Investigation started 4 months ago. At the time I chose to break of my relationship with him. SS came to see me and cleared me as a fit parent. However, now I want to know if I could see him, albeit without my children having anything to do with him. I'm going through a tough time right now and I need his support. He hasn't been charged yet either so at this point is still under investigation. If I maintained contact with him, but did not ever allow him near my children, would social services become reinvolved? Thanks to anyone who may be able to clear this up x

Hi.

I think it all depends on who your social worker is to be honest. I was cleared by social services and because someone reported that I was seen with him even without my children they have now re opened the case. The thing is this was just an allegation aswell and I wasnt actually with him I was in a completely different place at the time with my son actually dropping him off at school. But they have re opened anyway and will know begin to get answers as to if it was me or not. I'm actually livid by all of this.

Sorry to go on and on but in my experience yes they will become back involved but as I said before I think it depends on who your social worker actually is. Hope this helps xx

Hi Becky, what a nightmare for you! I hope you get it sorted and soon. This process is stressful enough without the added extras. Xx
