This is just a suggestion and I realise this is an open place for anyone to post but I wondered if there could be a note put on the front page to say something like...this is a place for people who are in genuine need of help and support and please do not post unhelpful or unrelated comments.

I know that these posts are removed if need be but it might just make someone think twice about posting

Hi Mabel and Lee

I am new to these forums and have only posted twice. I've read a lot of the forum questions now and I completely agree. Some of the posts are random and strange. They made me think again about posting. I'm still going through the process with my husband and having more down days than up days at the minute.

Thank you for all the posts I have read that you have commented on which have been very helpful.

Agree Mabel

The trouble is it does put people off and as this is sometimes the only support they have is horrible to think they won't come on here again

I have also found some of the parts weird and argumentative, not helpful, not supportive, not necessary

I've posted quite a bit recently. I hope I haven't posted anything that's been unhelpful? I find great support from here and would hate to think my posts were considered inappropriate

Hi Partner

Please don't think that, you are being marvelous, I think your strength is showing through.

Don't worry, we'd soon tell you if you were :)

Hope you're okay today?

Agreed, there is a forum agreement link but probably most people don't read it so perhaps it needs to be made a little clearer. I'm sure for most just posting for the first time on here requires some courage and anything that can be done to make it a welcoming place would be great. So far this forum has been the only support I've had, not sure about anyone else, and it really is invaluable. It feels like my husband has a better professional support network than me.
