My old social worker (we have a new one) said a few things and it's only now just hit me.

1. Told me we would never be a family unit again

2. That he is definitely going to jail

3. Said she spoke to the OIC and they told her about "evidence" they had - IIOC (was kinda obvious since that's why he was arrested), the amount and classification of the images (this was days after his arrest and even his lawyer said that's not been determined yet) She also told me about what they found on his phone (PayPal? Even the police said it was clear of any dodgy payments) photos of our kids on days out (who doesn't have those?)

4, Most of this was said within ear shot of the kids.

5. Called him the P word on numerous occasions. His lawyer, and lovely woman at LFF, told me he can't be classed as that just for a few images.

I just wonder what does through their heads. Surely IF the OIC told her anything evidence wise that would cause issues for the case?New SW said they know of the reason he was arrested and nothing else. So what the old SW just trying to get things out of me (I was beyond shocked the day he was arrested) or did she find out too much?

You can't rule out the possibility that the police and SW did share information 'off the record", although the OIC should not officially tell them anything except the reason for the arrest.

This is yet another example of poor behaviour by the SW. Makes me wonder what training they receive. The chances of someone receiving a custodial sentence for IIOC these days are pretty small and anyone with any experience of these cases would know that.

I did find it weird that the OIC would share anything other the charges. We have never once heard from OIC. He only hears from his lawyer.

Honestly she was just so opinionated and based everything on her personal opinion. She got so much wrong too. Then one day she said "what was the charge on his bail sheet" so I told her and she replied "that's just legislation." Then another time she said "what's his charge again? Surely he should have his verdict by now" this was 5 months in at this point. She was awful

Hi

My first SW was overly Bias about the whole situation, said and stated many of what you have said above and did some really backwards things to me. I have been told by number of professionals I have spoken to, to make a complaint about her. - however I haven't yet as we are still with SS.

I am so sorry you was treated like this and any of us are. I literally sat there in tears one day as everything she said made it feel like I was aware of what was happenkng/happened for this situation to be happening. But I had no idea of any of it, first I knew was when the police arrested him back last June.

I just wanted to say you srnt alone with hopefully you have more answers now than previously. Wishing you all the luck x
