I think this will be my final post, at least for a good while. I'm going to take a break from the forum and try and get my head around the last few years. But more importantly I'm going to try and have a peaceful Christmas, before going back to work, I've been off sick for the last month, pretty much overwhelmed with everything.
For anyone who doesn't know our story. OH got arrested June 22 and couldn't live at home for 10 months. Until it changed at court to unconditional bail.
He was charged for Making Cat A, B and C IIOC
Distribution of Cat A, B and C IIOC,
Possession of prohibited image of a child
Possession of extreme pornography.
He attended magistrates court in April 2023. This was all printed in the media and resulted in my OH being assaulted and our house and car attacked with bricks, thankfully neither was to serious, but we're both extremely stressful experiences.
My OH was also suspended from work pending investigation.
My OH pleaded Not Guilty to all charges arguing that these were watsapp jokes that were sent amongst a group of mates.
We had 7 trips to Crown Court and by the time it finally went to trial, the indictment had changed significantly.
Distribution of 1 Cat A and 1 Cat B
Possession of extreme pornography.
After a week long trial my OH was found not guilty of the Cat A and Cat B. But guilty of possession of an extreme pornography video.
He received a 6 month conditional discharge and £22 court costs (yes £22!!)
I did cost us a significant amount of money and will no doubt take several years to repay.
BUT, yesterday he attended his work hearing and they agreed to allow him to return. He went to work today, he is starting in a new department but is absolutely over the moon to have been able to return.
It feels like it's finally all over and we can start 2025 fresh and try and put this absolutely horrendous experience behind us.
