What happens after SOR?

My ex was convicted and given 3 years sentence served in the community, community service and then added to two things, one for 5 years and one for 7 (I think - I hid the paperwork so the kids wouldn't find it but now I can't find it). The 5 year one (I think this was SOR? And the other one is a Sexual Harm Prevention Order?) will expire soon. What will this mean? I don't want my kids to have anything to do with him, can he turn up and start asking for access? Currently he's only allowed 'supervised' access, as stated by children's services, and as I won't supervise and he doesn't want contact centre, he doesn't see them at all. I'd like it to stay that way!
Hi,
he can request access but will likely be told that it will have to be supervised still. Just because the sentence side of things will be complete doesn't mean that ss would just allow him unsupervised. He could take you to court for contact but you aren't blocking contact just requesting it be done in a contact centre and he hasn't taken you up on that. I think it is likely that it was SHPO for 5 years and SOR for 7 due to his 3 year suspended sentence xxx

This is just my own experience. All 4 of my children wanted contact with their Dad. The older 2 visited him regularly in prison but my younger 2 who were 12 & 14 at the time, weren't allowed any access until they were granted supervised access at age 16. This caused so many problems because they wanted their Dad in their lives. In my opinion, if a child can articulate what they want and understand what their father has done in an age appropriate way, they should be given the opportunity to have a relationship with their Dad. It comes down to their age and what SS's dictate.
