Hi all,

Has anyone had a risk assessment with Jacqueline Toro? Both for the protective parent and the offender?

Has anyone had a risk assessment completed by anyone else?

I mentioned LFF doing the risk assessment as it's now at Pre-proceedings but they've said LFF don't do them at this level / in the realms of court proceedings. I'm not sure this is correct?

Thank you

We've had ours done by LFF as part of care proceedings. I recommend you fight to have them as your assessor.

They would agree to assess your family if investigation/sentencing is completed for your partner, and 8 weeks after your baby is born for protective parenting.

Thank you so much for your reply Flower!

I was quite shocked when my solicitor said that and feel a little concerned that she won't represent me as thoroughly as I'd like. Luckily my OH's solicitor seems to be amazing so far and is going to send us some risk assessors and the one she speaks highly of too.

Hi,

We are on pre-care proceeding as well. Social worker has recommended with the same as you Jacqueline Toro and we have managed to end up with LFF.

PLO and proceedings are long and if you don't feel your solicitor is keen to fight your corner jump ship now.

You will look through CVs and you will also approve the questions to put through to the assessor. Both are extremely important aspects of the assessments and I hope you all are throughly advised and supported in this process.

Best of luck and reach privately if you wish and have questions.

Thank you, to be honest I didn't even think about it until my OH spoke to his and he left his phone call feeling empowered and I left mine wanting to cry.
I just thought this is how it is, they're funded by legal aid and are getting their money regardless. Meanwhile my OH's has only been in contact with him from today and already read everything he's sent across to them about our circumstance and putting in a complaint about how the SS have treated us and left it so late to start looking at risk assessments. It's like a different world!

Thank you again for your support, I may message after our first meeting next week x
