For those that have followed my story you'll be aware we are hoping for either a community order or I guess very worst case a suspended sentence, but should we be packing a bag just in case it's prison? No advice from the solicitor last week and we forgot to ask in the last minute chaos! If we do take a bag with his things in what does everyone recommend? This is all feeling too much!x

Morning Eye x

As hard as tomorrow will be we will all be by your side x

Been practical by taking what will hopefully not be needed bag

Contact numbers written down, some cash,

Clothes, just basic for now trakkie bottoms, tshirts, sweater or sweatshirt ( no hoodies) cannot be black, white , underwear, pair of trainers, toiletries but have to be sealed

It seems so daunting lovely and as I said this bag will hopefully not be needed it's just incase and wishing for.you both it will be a bag you will be able to unpack once home xx

Thank you that's so helpful.

My heart doesn't feel like it's breaking, it feels like it's shattering!

The love and support means the world, I wish I could have a few of you with me in person tomorrow that's for sure!

We took a just in case bag tracksuit bottoms x2 t shirts x2 underwear socks sliders and trainers cash he took £150 so he could put money on his account so he would be able to contact me my phone number and I told him the first thing he needed to do was get his prison number to me if it came to that now the positive he walked out with a community order for 3 years community service and a small fine no restrictions regarding our children and the court staff were actually really kind and supportive no press there and we are now 12 weeks post sentencing and still no press although I do still check daily I am hoping you get to feel the same relief as I did on the Monday morning when we walked out of there

Hi, I queried the same and was told it is importnant to take a prison bag to show respect to the judge and that nothing is being taken lightly by the family member.

We were informed no clothes to be black or white as they will blend in with the prison staff. Clothes are not to have any pull cords or hoods.

Good luck. We are hoping the rearranged sentencing date we have goes ahead.

We were told not to take a bag at all as it was 5 images at magistrates and extremely doubtful it would be custodial

Apologies, family members case was transferred as many are from the magistrates to the crown court. Sentencing and bag details were in respect of a crown court sentence.

I think most people have covered the important stuff of clothes, toiletries, contact numbers and cash.

Other things that people often recommended to take in the bag is a small selection of books so that even if he's unable to access the library he has something to keep him occupied in the first few days. Another would be a cheap watch to be able to keep track of the time.

Fingers crossed it won't be needed, hope everything goes as well as it can.
