OH had his DBS (which he had only recently got for a new driving job) which was taken by the OIC when he was arrested.

He's currently on bail while the investigation and forensics are carried out.

he has started looking for another job and seems to think that he will pass a DBS (not for any jobs involving children) all the time he doesn't have a conviction.

Does anyone know if the fact he has had one revoked will put a red flag on any subsequent applications?

I would be interested to know if anyone has experience of this.

thanks x

Is this enhanced or basic/standard? I'm not sure the police can revoke a standard DBS before conviction. You might want to ask a solicitor about this. Enhanced would show arrests etc if relevant.

What they can do is disclose to an employer if they think there's risk to children or vulnerable adults. Which I suppose amounts to the same thing but it would at least allow the employer to make the choice.

His original one was enhanced for taxi driving

He has applied for a few driving jobs which won't involve much contact with anyone - would he need to tell, the OIC if he changes his job? That's not mentioned in the bail conditions.

We were told a basic DBS check would be fine just nothing that needs an enhanced like taxi driving.
