Could there be other explanations as to why IIOC are linked to his IP address? Like a virus or being hacked or something? Just clinging on to hope that it could be anything else other than actually seeking them out. If it is a virus or if his phone has been hacked would they be able to find that out when devices get sent to forensics?

These are all possibilities, but I would suggest a specialist forensic check, independent of the police is the best option. The police experts aren't all trained to determine these facts and are hell bent on convictions, not necessarily determining the truth. Good luck in your journey lovely xx

But also make sure that you're protecting your own heart in this whilst that's an outside possibility it can be explained by something else, many of the men committing these crimes will continue to lie about it or minimise afterwards, I would always consider it is a possibility that he's doing that. And of you have children you'll need to be on board with that for SS.

Sending support!

Hi,

the defence is that you had a legitimate reason for having the images in your possession, that you had not seen the photos and did not know nor had any cause to suspect it/them to be indecent, or that the image/s was sent to you without any prior request and that you did not keep it for any reasonable time. Every single point can be traced by the police when the device is examined. Our person was not in the country when some were downloaded, however as you can only plead guilty or not guilty to the charges, individual image downloads and the where and when are not up for debate.

Good luck xx

You can get your own forensics once the police have completed their's, so that might help. But plenty of men do lie sadly.

How do you get your own and how much does it cost?

We are in a situation with our 16yr son where all we were told is iioc is linked to our IP address and his email.

His previous email address was hacked and his new one is similar and I didn't realise he had used same password.

He was asked in interview could things have been downloaded without him knowing. His solicitor stepped in saying this isn't a question my son could answer. If anything comes back (and I'm praying it doesn't because this is so out of my sons character, he's actually reported things) my solicitor said they can get their own forensic done.
