Or a way to make it cheaper?

I had a landline added to my virgin internet account, they gave me a special deal for 18months then I'll haggle the price down again or cancel it. Also I pay £4.50 a month with Virtual Landline and this works well as OH can ring that and it diverts to my mobile but costs him a lower rate.

I did similar to what Hugosmum did, although slightly different. I got my landlines diverted to my mobile and added an unlimited package that included calls to mobile phones. I found this cheaper than the app for calls. I did also pay for an app he could call on, but we only really used it to leave voicemails for each other. I think the app was could Prison Voicemail.

Thankyou both, brilliant advice! I never thought of getting landline calls diverted to my mobile.
I currently use the voicemail app but it's quite expensive, between us we spent £100 last month!
I will definitely do the diverting and try the virtual landline app, I cant afford £100 monthly.
