Hi everyone,

We got an update today saying that some items needed further investigations.

No other details were given.

Has anyone ever been told that? What came of it?

What does it mean exactly?

Thank you so much

Hiya, we've had this. When they first came and knocked/arrest/searched the property, they took a load of devices and data sticks etc.

Just over a week later he had a call to say some had come back clear and some needed to be sent of for further investigation. No more info than that. I do know that one was my child's iPad which they had locked over a year before and being the major procrastinator I am I still hadn't had it attempted to be unlocked at the Apple Store. Apple devices are apparently notorious for being hard to get into and as it was locked anyway I'm assuming that's why it was sent off because they couldn't clear it at the station. So the devices sent off could have been sent of because they found some evidence and wanted to do a deeper search or because they couldn't properly say they were clear of IIOC from the first search at the station. It's just a waiting game (12-18 months apparently) for them to check them.

He did go and collect the cleared devices the next day.
I hope I made some sense - long day at work!

Thank you so much for your reply!

What I'm worried about is that the device has already been scanned. It's something inside the device that has to be investigated further.

Solicitor confirmed that it meant at least one element was of concern but he didn't know what it was exactly.

If it was an indecent image, why would it need further investigating?

I'm very confused

Hi Turlam,

Wasn't your case NFA-d a while ago? Is this a new one?
