Do you mean an ankle monitoring tag used to enforce a home curfew?
If so I don't think I've ever read on here about someone getting tagged curfew as part of their sentence. My partner was on SOR for 10 years and never had a tag at any point.
Edit - Have just seen what you were discussing in another post, I think what they mean is that their person received a period on a tagged curfew as part of their sentence, this would then result in a 5-year SOR notification period as it would come under the same rules as having received a fine or a community order, not that the person was tagged for the whole 5 year period.

There is no connection between being tagged and being on the SOR. It is a sentencing option that is available, but in practice is very rarely used for these types of offences.
this was my reply you had read, the reason my person got an electronic monitor ankle tag, was because his social worker said he suffered with social anxiety and she didnt think a community payback back order would be good for him so he had to have some sort of punishment so the judge gave a tag but it comes with 5 years on the SOR, if he had gotten a community payback he would have recieved less time on the register , he had the ankle monitor for 8 months from 7pm until 7am and again it was only given as he had recieved a file he was never seeking the images but because they were retrieved he still had to have some form of punishment we new it wasn't going to be a custodial sentence which was good but yes he had to recieve a punishment and that's what he got..hope that helps xx
