Hi, the ex is being sentenced on Tuesday. Again.

I live in a small block of flats. There are 3 families with young children. They have all seen him coming and going visiting our son. They chat to him, lovely weather today, looks like rain, that sort of thing. My neighbours like him. Everyone does. But, if it goes in the media like last time and they come hammering on my door like I imagine they will, what on earth do I say to them? This isn't my fault and it certainly isn't my poor sons fault who has had to deal with so much. I'm sick with worry and have been for 3 years but it's getting worse and worse the nearer to Tuesday I get. I'm so scared. X

Hiya, I am so sorry you going through this and more then once! My ex is also being sentenced on Tuesday and I am so worried about the media. We were married and have the same surname as do our children. Nearly divorced thank goodness! No real words of wisdom but I hope that it doesn't get published anywhere, if it does I am sure you will find the strength to get you both through it, I don't know we do it but we just somehow do! sending lots of love and I will be thinking of you on Tuesday x

I'm so sorry you're both having to go through this and Littlerobin3 for the second time I really do feel for you both and how you are feeling my OH is not quite as far ahead with his case as you ladies are with yours all I can say is I hope that the press are either having a busy that day that day or there something else going on in the courts that might be more important and divert them to look at that case instead. but good luck to you both for Tuesday

When my son's story appeared in the media we made the first move and spoke to our immediate neighbours who both have children as soon as we could. We told them the truth as opposed to the one sided story reported in the media. They both thanked us for talking to them and for telling them the full story.

Ocean, I thought about telling them in advance but some have made our lives very difficult over the years through anti social behaviour so I don't think they'd react well either way. Also, I don't want to attract any attention unnecessarily because they could make my life very difficult with the housing association. Last time I was threatened with eviction and eventually, in a roundabout way actually became homeless with my son, I know it's different this time but I think that's my main worry.

Good luck for Tuesday (big huggs)

My sons court date is 3 weeks away....i cant get it out of my mind..sigh!

I'm distracting myself as much as i can, but havent eaten much since 2nd knock last week to give charges.

Does anyone else either starve or binge-eat with this worry?

Leftfieldmum, thanks. I wish you all the best. Yes, food is a huge issue for me but it always has been. X
