We're currently trying to renew our caravan insurance and not getting anywhere. I have read that some of you go caravanning. Any suggestions re insurance companies? If all else fails we'll have to sell it which would be a real blow. We're currently between plea hearing and sentencing next week. Category c low number of images.

Try Adrian Flux, they helped with our campervan. Also bear in mind you won't be allowed to go to any Caravan and Camping Club sites, but most small campsites don't have anything written in their Ts and Cs. Good luck and enjoy! X

Can I ask did you manage to get campervan insurance after sentencing? It's something that has been playing on my mind xx

It is TOTALLY unfair, I completely agree. The other option is to put ownership in your name.
We are not at sentencing yet, so haven't tried and tested Adrian Flux as a company post conviction (3 years and still awaiting charges ????) but I heard a long time ago they are the people to go with. It was mentioned on here a long time ago

I could not insure my car with LV as the CAR insurance t&c asks if you live with anyone with a conviction. He is not on my car insurance, so why does the fact i live with him affect my car! Though i dont understand why household insurance is affected at least that is a risk factor for the occupants in the house. He does not drive nor goes in my car as a passenger yet i had to change my car insurance! It is the gift that keeps giving.

The Unlock website has a list of insurers who will give cover to those with convictions.

We found a car insurer via the unlock website. The caravan is not so easy. We're going to try Adrian Flux this afternoon.

So it's a no from Adrian Flux. Looks like our new normal is going to be quite different. Staying positive is so hard..... Caravanning has been part of our lives for a long time.

I'm sorry it's so so hard. There appears to be no logic. Just something else to make life hard.

We had a caravan for many years and to be honest we didn't insure it (it was old and made the decision it wasn't worth it). Is that an option not to insure? It's my backup plan to go back to a caravan if we can't insure the campervan.

I know that caravan insurance isn't a legal requirement but I think I would worry if any 3rd party claim was made for any reason. It's all getting a bit much to try and work out. We knew we would be restricted in which sites we can go to..... Had prepared for that. Could always buy a tent!!!!!
