As of midnight oh conviction was spent and breathe, had the most emotional few days running up to this, from failed suicides losing job I never thought we would get here.

Time line

knock november 25 2022 1 phone taken rest checked in house

Charged november 26 2022

5 images 2 cat a and 3 cat b link from kik own cyber expert proved it had been deleted immediately app deleted immediately could only be retrieved by an expert, but fact is it was on his phone at some stage and he never reported it.

Ss visited once chatted to myself and our daughter no risk his bail condition was not to be around under 18 but he had no restrictions against our daughter, so this was easy to navigate, we never heard another thing from them.

First court appearance February 2023 numerous appearances until hearing novemeber 2023 part heard January 2024 found guilty sentenced February 2024

Sacked March 2024 new job one week later

November 2024 promoted to team leader

February 2025 conviction spent

I have just completed the form for right to be forgotten regarding the article, his supervision manager and police liaison have both given there details regarding no risk to public and it's not In the publics interest for this to be available, I know the small town we live in for some small minded people they won't forget but we move on with our lives, I have learned so much from this experience mostly that being empathetic towards others.

For those in this journey my heart breaks for each and everyone of you, take care of you and yours xx

Can you clarify how the sentence is spent. As I thought it was six years from the end of a sentence, but happy to be corrected if that isn't the case for all.

My person finished their suspended sentence in 2021, but has to declare the conviction for another six years. But does have a ten year SOR and SHPO, so not sure if this counts as needing to disclose even after spent conviction.

If they have a SHPO it's not spent until the end of the SHPO. Not everyone gets a SHPO so if you get eg a community order of a year without a SHPO it would be spent at the end of that 1 year order, even if still on the SOR

The judge decides who gets a SHPO. For very low level and/or historic offences with no evidence of continues offending a SHPO can sometimes be avoided, however this is rare

I am genuinely really happy you are at the other end of this now, and you can move on.

I do however find it incredible that my OH had the knock 9 months before you, and we still don't know if his case has been sent to the CPS yet. Unbelievable......

It does seem to be much quicker in Scotland, why can't England and Wales follow suit? It's such a mess.
it's still absolutely hideous for you and your daughter, no one should go through this at all, but it's awful having the whole ordeal being stretched out for so long. Life is on hold....
