2 year prison sentence 2021. Released mid 2022. Recalled end 2022.
Released 2024. 5 months later on a welfare check recalled again.
We only communicate through messages. We have no contact otherwise. I now live in a different city.
I know nothing of the prison system.
I have no idea why he keeps getting recalled. He tells me nothing.
I am at a loss what to do. Data protection prevents anyone telling me anything accept he's safe.
I have again contacted find a prisoner.

I'm sorry to say this but it could be that the person doesn't want you to be able contact them or know where they are being held. Find a prisoner requires the person to consent to their location being shared, without it your likely to just get confirmation they are back inside but not where or why. If you can find out where they are being held then you could always write to them and ask them directly what the situation is.
Prison recall can happen for all sorts of reasons, he may not necessarily have offended again, it might be failure to notify of a change in circumstances/failure to attend a review etc. But obviously only he can confirm the reason. It sounds very stressful for you - look after yourself
