I know this likely varies by different areas and SS, but I'm just wondering if anyone's partner was able to move back home with their children (under 18), before the forensics report came back?

If so, what were the timeframes from the knock to being allowed back home?

Just trying to find a slither of hope xx

Hello, we decided not to peruse moving back before sentencing as we were very nieve and hopeful to get an NFA (we did not). Looking back we were very confused of the process and full of uncertainty and we thought we might aggravate the situation and felt like we would be making a fuss. After sentencing we thought that's the end he would be able to come straight home but no.... the social worker and police liaison would not let him move back to his own house which he paid for until 5 months later. If I could go back I would of fought for this sooner as the judge even mentioned the bail restrictions were very harsh. The police and social worker would also say things to him such as you need stability and to get back home but they were the ones blocking it as they had to do a step by step tick box exercise to prepare him to come home (load of rubbish) The whole thing was ridiculous. I did tell her when this is done I'm going to rip up this paper. It's like dealing with the gestapo you can't win ever with these people in the end we would just whatever answers to please them. I would also say the less your say to them the better keep it basic.

My children are allowed unsupervised and overnights with him with no restrictions.
we aren't together so not sure if this would be the case if I wanted him to move back in.

Thank you for your replies.

Do you mind me asking what the arrest was for exactly? And how many IIOC etc...

Thank you. My partner's was one allegation of an iioc. He says he has no recollection of it so I'm hoping he's telling the truth and they find nothing and he gets an NFA, but I know this can still take months and months :(
