I know I shouldn't really complain. Compared to many on here we have not had it too hard. Less than a year from knock to sentencing, suspended sentence & community order, no media attention, & SS have closed the case saying they will not impose any additional restrictions beyond the SHPO (no contact with under 16s unless unavoidable in everyday life or the parents are aware of the conviction)
This means we can adjust to our new normal. OH is still at home, his mental health is vastly improved, & he can be unsupervised with our child. I should be happy.
We are going round in circles trying to resolve before & after school childcare. He has had 4 probation officers in 5 months, just when they reach the stage of starting his "interventions " that reduce the risk assessment, they change over and the whole process starts again. We approached school who were not prepared to let him on the school grounds (but probation were not supportive at this point so I don't think they gave constructive advice), if we switch to a childminder I think they will probably want to disclose to them too(so I'm sure they will then refuse to have us).
We just need childcare where OH can drop off & pick up, following all the rules, that allows me to work normally. My employers have been supportive but there is only so long I can carry on being late every day. We have no local family or friends that can do this regularly.
I know it is a niche problem, but I need to know there is a possibility of light at the end of the tunnel. Has anyone else out there managed a similar situation??
Thanks x

Hi,
I think I'd probably find a childminder to do drop off and pick ups and providing you have paperwork from ss that your OH is allowed unsupervised it shouldn't be an issue for OH to collect from them. I know disclosure can be awkward and difficult but if you are open with them you will probably find that there is a solution. Maybe your OH could call when he is close and they could have little one ready at the door for collection so no contact with other children in their care allowing him to abide by the terms of his SHPO xxx
