Hi Snowdrop, I just wondered how things were going with you and if your partner managed to get a job?

Hi Rainbow...

Still no employment I'm afraid He's applied for all sorts of mundane work. The most recent was for a charity... collecting bags, however he was asked about convictions and supplied the disclosure letter written with the assistance of his probation officer and was told he wasn't suitable.

He does not want to work in a production line as he fears the risk of exposure. He believes he will never work again. I really don't know what to do... 40 years of unblemished experience and now he's treated like a pariah.

Anyway... Thank you for your concern... I hope you had a nice Xmas... Take care... x

Hi snowdrop, thanks for replying. Oh I really hoped it would have been good news for you. How long is his conviction? Maybe he can get something when it gets spent although companies tend to ask why they have been out of work. I hope probation can help him and he finds something soon. How are you managing financially if you dont mind me asking? X

Hi Rainbow...

My partner was given a 12 month suspended sentence... This would have been spent in 5 years however he was then given a 10 SHPO which in reality is another conviction and must be disclosed. He intends to go back to court and get this discharged when his criminal record is clear.

As for finances... I still work and my partner has a small pension. We can survive.... just.. No extravagant spenditure... His need for employment is simply to reintroduce some social interaction. He's now a recluse... a shell...a solitary figure... Its sad to see and witness everyday...

Best wishes....
