Hi guys, so my oh is on sor and has been for 3 years now. Just wondered what you guys know about if we had a child sleepover. Now the officer who is assigned to my oh has said if we have anyone over to stop their parents will be contacted and told about our situation yet last weekend my nephew and sister stopped over, my oh went to station to declare and no contact was made with my sister regarding our situation (although she already knows). I'm annoyed with all the mixed messages. Is anyone able to help?

It is completely a guess but are the police already aware that your sister knows about the situation and that's why no contact was made with them.

My son who lives with us has added the names, ages etc of his children and my other grandchildren to his SOR and they can all now stay the night as often as we want. A friend of ours and her boyfriend and his younger brother had to stay for a unexpected night. As the younger brother was under 18 my son registered it first thing the next morning and the younger brother who we'll probably never meet again is now listed on my sons register as someone who can have over night stays.

Each time he has made a change to the registerer it is passed to his offender manager to sign off. The offender manager has in the past contacted my son to say he's received it but none of the parents have ever been informed even though the younger brother was a complete stranger to us.

I assumed the name would be listed just in case anything from the child was reported yet we was told that the officer would contact the child's parents and advise them on our situation and then it's their choice if they allow their child to stay. We would prefer to obviously keep it quiet but with 3 kids they're constantly asking for friends to stop over.

I would say you should tell them yourself and let the parent make the decision.
