Feeling Frustrated...

I'm feeling so frustrated at the moment. I feel so fed up with our lives being on hold, waiting for the next step in the process.
Arrest September 2023
Charges August 2024
Plea Hearing October 2024 (Not Guilty)
Trial Start date August 2026!!!
This wait is horrendous, I'm missing our family holidays and weekends away (I'm not one to go anywhere without my husband) my eldest son is going to be 18 by the time the case goes to trial and my youngest son will be heading off to secondary school. I feel the best years of my kids childhoods have been completely destroyed and it makes me so sad. The funny thing is I don't blame my husband, I blame the system.
I don't really know what I'm trying to get out of my post, I just felt the need to vent my frustration.
Xx

The limbo is the systems fault but if you question it they blame the perpetrator they won't take any blame at all.
It is disgusting

Can you not holiday while waiting? Are you not allowed?
What are the bail conditions?

My OH bail states he can't stay overnight where someone under the age of 18 resides or sleeps. He comes home everyday but sleeps at his mums every night. All contact is supervised by myself. I don't feel comfortable taking the kids away on my own and I hate not doing things as a family. Xx
If you stay in a hotel and he has a separate room I'm pretty sure that would be fine.
I've seen people on here have booked a travelodge room near to where they are staying.

Thank you for your suggestion, we have spoken to my other half's mum and she has agreed to come with us so we will look to book a family week away next Easter with 2 rooms xx
That's great news hopefully you can have a lovely time and forget about everything else for a while x
Confirming that a hotel stay in separate rooms is indeed fine (and somewhat ridiculous as our son has been literally next door to his children in a Travelodge room, but not allowed to be behind a locked bedroom door on another floor in our house if the children stayed over, even if we slept in with them ourselves.)
My OH has lived with his kids for nearly 20 years before this so how is he a risk now. Absolutely ridiculous. It's like saying all men that watch porn are going to rape women if they get the chance.
We find it crazy that my husband is allowed in our family home all day every day but he isn't allowed to sleep here. I get I'm unable to supervise if I'm asleep but he slept here every night for 17 years with no issues so not sure why now it would be any different considering our children are old enough to speak for themselves. It's just crazy. Am looking forward to booking a holiday for next year though xx
