Holidays - abroad

Hi,
I apologise if this seems like a trivial topic in the grand scheme of things, especially for those who are early on in this nightmare process.
I wondered if anyone has visited Mexico or any other long haul destinations (from UK) within the last year or so, whilst your person is subject to SOR and SHPO? How was your experience? Were there any hiccups?
We're looking to book a holiday this year and hoped to get some advice so we can be prepared.
Since sentencing a few years ago, we have been on a few UK holidays which have been no problem and last year travelled to Crete. On arrival in the airport in Crete, we were asked to go to a separate room where my husband needed to provide details of the hotel, return flights etc. It was a bit scary as we had not expected this to happen and with everything being digital now, had not printed the documents so had to email this over - I would highly recommend printing the documents just in case to save the worry whilst you try to get the details sent over to them. Once the relevant information was shared we were on our way and had a lovely holiday in the end. On the return journey my husband needed to go through the manual passport check rather than with the machines but this wasn't too stressful as we expected this.
We mentioned this to VISOR and they were surprised this happened in Crete so as far as we're aware there wasn't any flag that initiated this.
Thank you in advance

Hello Rainbow,
If it's of any use – most of my family is South American, and I recently visited them with my OH (sentenced a few months ago) without any issues. We asked his police officer during one of her visits to our home, and she said there were no problems, especially as we were travelling together. He just needed to send her and his probation officer an email with all the details—where he was going, where he was staying (ensuring no children were around), and when he would return, they asked us to be very detailed which flight would be buy exactly and then when they confirmed we did all the purchases
We spent around two and a half weeks there it was lovely.
I would ask your OH's officer if the country you are arriving will be informed about his conviction. We asked and she said they won't stop him at the boarder as they haven't been informed (I believe this depends on the risk they are assessing). When back as usual his passport didn't work through the e-gates so he went to the officer who ask usual question (where did he travel, where did he stay and with who)
