Hi,

my partner got the knock just over a week ago. He was arrested for sharing a category b image on Snapchat 3 years ago.

ive spoken with social services as I have 2 children, they've closed the case with no further action.

i also had a conversation with the police officer on the case today, as they wanted to carry out a safeguarding check with me and my children. That all seemed to go ok.

the police officer I spoke to confirmed that my partners devices were all found to be clear and had no further images found on them.

so it's the 1 image shared on Snapchat 3 years ago that he's being investigated for. I was just wondered if anyone could give me some advice on what to expect, what the outcome of this all might be? And what might happen?

thankyou xxx

It is hard to say what the outcome might be, because the CPS only need one image to bring a charge. On the other hand, it is a very low number, so a lot may depend on the age of the child in the image. If they are judged to be over 13, then a caution is a real possibility. If they are under 11, then a charge becomes much more likely.
