Dear Forum Users,

We’re always looking for ways to make the forum as supportive and helpful as possible, and we're pleased to share a new feature with you that is now available to use. You can now "heart" posts as a simple and meaningful way to show support for something that has been shared on the Family and Friends Forum. We know many of you have asked for emojis as a way to respond and react to posts. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible due to the high level of security we maintain on the platform. However, we hope the heart feature will be a welcomed alternative by our users.

We understand that everyone uses the forum differently. The heart feature is just one more option to show support alongside replying to posts and connecting through our direct messaging function.

Please note that:

- The heart function will only be visible and available for registered users.

- Users cannot ‘heart’ their own posts.

- Hearts are anonymous, and your username will not be visible others when you ‘heart’ a post.

In addition to help keep the forum safe, we’ve also recently added CAPTCHA verification for all new users, providing another layer of protection to our Forum.

We’re committed to continuing to improve the forum. If you have any questions or feedback, please email us at forum@lucyfaithfull.org.uk

Kind regards,

The Forum Team

I like this function. Sometimes I feel I want to support someone and not go over same sentiments I've posted many a time. So yes, great idea .....

Its been just over a week now since that knock on the door and we are still struggling to get our head around it,still feels like a nightmare and not reality.

My Mum Is finding it especially hard as our person hasn't spoken to us about it,They said they will tell us when they are ready so we're not sure quite how bad it is,so alot of overthinking at the moment.

I just don't know where to turn to right now, I'm trying to be as normal as possible and be there for them both, what else can I do?
