Probation officer issues

Has anybody had issues with the probation officer that their OH has been assigned to? The one we are dealing with is absolutely awful, he is making our life a misery. So much so that I submitted a complaint today due to his behaviour in the last core group meeting. In front of me, the SW and two safeguarding people from my daughters school he said my other half "has a sexual interest in Children". I'm livid, it isn't true and is referring to my OH's offence from August 2023. How are they allowed to say stuff like this?
In our multi agency meeting the PO was on the fence throughout and actually rang my OH to pretty much apologise after, because professionally he's not allowed at this stage to say he's low risk!
The SW was more dangerous in ours, to the same group of people you mention above, she said my OH had downloaded 9 files, when the charge is actually 9 images (that can't be accessed or viewed properly but 'appear' to be cat B's sitting in the cache)!
It's complete pot luck I'm afraid lovely, just another layer of frustration and unprofessionalism in a sea of the flaming stuff!! X

Hi,
do you know if the po is using the Oasys tool for risk assessment? I have some information on about Oasys so can send yhe link on that. If I'm remembering correctly Oasys should be used as part of an ongoing assessment process throughout their time with probation. Your partner can make a request through a subject access request to see any information held on him by probation. In my view he cannot be high risk otherwise he would have been issued with a SHPO and time on sor. Even people deemed low risk can still be issued with SHPO and sor. Also when probation talk about risk it is risk of causing significant harm so to throw terminology like saying he is high risk and he has sexual interest in children could be hugely damaging. Was he ordered to complete any rehabilitation courses?

Hi
My OH is on his second PO. The first one he had before Christmas was nice and he felt better after seeing her. The one he now has, however, is not very nice. She told my OH that she wanted transparency, but everything she twists everything he tells her. She got SS involved with us again as she thought we were in breach of conditions imposed, like no unsupervised contact with our nearly 17 year old daughter. Following an assessment by SS, when we got the report back, there were so many lies from the PO and my OH still cannot have unsupervised contact with our daughter due to 'my OH's MH'. The PO reported him to his visor and, following a meeting with his PO and visor, it felt like an interrogation and all these professionals have deemed him a danger to our daughter.
The judge at sentencing said that my OH is attracted to children, which is completely untrue.

My OH did a SAR to access the information held about him. The comment from PSR says he is medium risk and the boxes all say low risk in relation to re-offending etc. His probation officer is saying he is high risk and is not willing to update the assessment. He is an absolute ****. He has done nothing to my OH in helping him getting that risk reduced- no courses or rehabilitation or anything. SS are heavily relying on probations assessment. It's so frustrating. He was seeing his PO on a weekly basis, this has been changed to monthly. I have said to SS, if PO was that concerned about his risk, they would keep him on a weekly meeting basis and be doing extensive work with him regardless. It's like talking to a brick wall with all the professionals.
