Hi everyone. The police were at my door 2 days ago and ripped my life from under me. I have 2 young children and a happy life. I'm now in this limbo everyone talks about. I've found it very difficult how many people around you end up finding out due to having children under 18. I'm just looking for some advice really. My husband has not downloaded any photos or videos. But had admitted to me he sent one of someone we know but just an ordinary photo he cropped from a group picture so nothing indecent He has been caught by undercover and has admitted to me about just chatting but sexually to teens as young as 12 but is adamant in real life he'd never be attracted to teenagers. That he just felt the chat room was an escape but where he could pretend to not be himself then he'd get addicted to just chatting and then go on legal porn afterwards. This became a daily cycle of addiction. I'm just wondering if anyone's been through something similar and I know it's so hard to say what kind of charge he would get but I would really appreciate any thing anyone can tell me. I'm completely heart broken and so hurt that I was never good enough for him. I've always tried so hard for him to want me.

Thank you in advance

Hi, sadly we see this a lot on here. The charges for these things vary, depending on what was said in the conversations.

It will probably take a while for the police to examine any devices and then he will most likely be charged. At this point, you will have an idea of what kind of sentence he might be looking at.

The most likely charge would be sexual communication with a child though depending on the content of the communication then there could be the more serious offences of causing or inciting sexual activity and arranging or facilitating sexual activity, but as said above they won't know what charges to bring until devices have been analysed and it passed to the CPS.
