Has anyone contacted the police for an update, did you find it helpful? I don't know if it's s good idea or not, but since he didn't have the duty (or any other) solicitor when he was interviewed, there's no-one who would follow up for us. I don't want to pressure them into a hurried investigation but don't want to be in limbo for another 10 months either.

Yes. I have the investigating officers mobile number and have called a few times for an update. I find him helpful.

Hi KLS

My partner did have a solicitor and it made no difference. When solicitor chased police they always said waiting for forensics, though usually took them weeks to get back to solicitor. Even SS chased police and got nowhere. It’s hellish the amount of time it takes with no contact or knowing that anything is happening at all.

Hi kls

I think if you have a case number you can ring them, you have nothing to lose to just try? tho I guess be prepared for nothing has happened with the investigation!

I was not given any information by the police in Essex where we live or the town where my partner was arrested. He was caught by a vigilante group after comminicating with them.

This waiting is really hard, tho I am very scared for the next stage!

let us know if you get any joy.
