Hi, firstly, I'm sorry you find yourself among us who've all been through similar. My person was my husband of 30 years when we got the "knock" in front of our young children. He admitted to me the next day that he developed an attraction to children around the age of 12/13, so he'd lied to me for decades. He was sent to prison for online offences and was his first offence. I didn't think he'd survive in prison so I decided to "support" him but I also divorced him. You don't have to walk away from your son. What he's done is horrendous but there's a very long road ahead of you all. These cases are taking years to reach sentencing. This is "just" one element of your son, it's not his entire being. I know that although I divorced my husband, if it had been my son, I could never have walked away. I wish you all the very best.
