So guys I've taken some time out just because of my little head was ready to explode!

Sooooo, I've had a call from social services, it's been 15 months of hell and 3 social workers later, my person has been told they are allowed to come home over night, and they are closing the case!!!!

I've shed a bucket of happy tears! But I'm over the moon now with the results. This has all happened with a week and a half until sentencing!

Hope your all having an amazing day as can be, enjoying the weather.

Much love tink

Xx

Thankyou lovely.... It's the best news I've had so far throughout all of this. And will mean the world to our babies!

I really do hope more of you guys here get to share some good news soon too.

Genuinely thought I'd have a battle on my hands but nope, I've worked with them etc every step added to safety plans etc even done a safeguarding course. Told the old social worker that if I ever suspected him of doing something to our girls I'd chop his you know what off and hand them and the police him. Also then said in a serious matter no I'd report it my self, no ifs buts or maybes

Congratulations! I agree with you that it's best to work with the social worker. I'm happy to hear the process has worked for you and that you've found a safe way for your family to be back together. I hope for the same one day. Take care!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you lovely. I think what helped us is from the day social services first got in contact I said I didn't know what was going to happen they based everything on worst case, and him being charged, and us staying together, it's been alot of hard work, tears, and meetings, but it's finally paid off. So I guess if you want it, it can happen but work with everyone. Xx

Tink this gives me hope, I hope!!! We got 10 years SOR though and my OH isn't the kids biological Dad so it's not clear if that will impact any decisions. Plus we got suspended. We've only just got the initial assessment report through, and I have zero idea about timings, so knowing it might be a stretch is actually really helpful.
I need to use your statement about chop chop chopping though, I like that!
Can I ask how your OH was able to satisfy the perceived risk, at the minute it's really unclear how we demonstrate he'll be safe round the boys. Xx

Eye of storm, sending some big hugs. All ive done throughout all of this is work with social services, when it came to safety plans they wrote down the one they wanted us to follow and then I just added too it, I even told my social worker when she rang that ill add things or take things away as and when needed. And each and every social worker we've had, and in all the meetings etc I've told them that the girls want him home and I will do anything to make that happen. And they've all agreed. As it stands we have been quite lucky with social services. ???? xx
