For those whose children were CIN. Did SS do a written CIN safety plan/document with you?

When my daughter was classed as a CIN last year, they never did this with me and took it to a CCP because I was not following the "safety plan". How can they say this when nothing is written down? I have now challenged them on this and at a stage 2 complaint with the council. They will not accept that they might have made a mistake. It just adds extra stress to this process.

Yes. My children were CIN for a few months right at the beginning & both their father and I were left with a copy of the safety plan. I thought that was pretty standard so am confused on your behalf!

Have they not given you the minutes of each cin meeting it will usually have on it what you agree to and what they are doing ECT and everything discussed in the meeting I never got a safety plan but had to keep asking for minutes as they tried saying I broke the plan when they never give me one I then found out I should have been given minutes for each meeting after pointing it out they backed off a little never apologized tho.

Hi Both

Thanks for replying. I never even had a CIN meeting. My daughter was a CIN between June and August last year. I was told I need to supervise contact but wasn't told what supverised contact meant and was given nothing in writing. I'm so angry at them

We never received any minutes, templates, information or a copy of our safety plan the whole time we were on a CIN plan. All I ever got were minutes of the CPP conference to confirm we didn't meet threshold. I kept asking but never got anything. In the end we wrote our own family plan based on a template from stopso. Our case was closed in January and I've only just received the closure letter after having to chase it and put in a subject access request for it.

I would search some of the support websites and charities for their templates and guidance for what to include covering all scenarios like personal care, what if you're sick, what you'll teach the kids about pants work, being safe online and who are safe adults to talk to, what you'll do as they get older, the possibility of reoffending, rules and boundaries.
