2022 was the knock and its been hell since then. I've had therapy, multiple medications to help and loads of time off work.
The police said they weren't allowed to tell me anything when they were in my house, he was not straight with me and I can confirm this now from the court details released in articles I came across on social media. It was totally unexpected, I came across it and my heart stopped and then started racing, I have fight or flight response and feel utterly sick.
I am angry with all the evidence that he didn't get jail despite the numerous cat A found.

I totally understand your anger, and being lied to is awful. There are many reasons why offenders do it. Not only to protect themselves (with the guilt and shame that comes with these offences) but also to protect the people they love and care about. There's also a strong possibility of miss reporting and any context or mitigation in the reporting is always sidelined for sensationalism. If he hasn't received a custodial, there will be a reason for it.

The media issue with all this is utterly horrendous and I knew my life would never be the same again once the case was across social media and in the press. I hear you. X
