Does anyone know if I will have to have a protective parenting assessment in order too supervise contact? We're almost a year post sentencing. Partner was made to leave home in October, we're now 6 months on since then, my children were all placed on CPP and I was told I'd need a parenting assessment and my partner. But nothing has been done. I am desperate for some kind of progress to be made. Can I just insist on supervising contact or will I have to have the parenting assessment first?

It's all just so cruel, I'm almost envious of people who's social workers seem to actually be doing their jobs. like you mine just drags her heels or stone walls.

I'm only 3 months post knock but oh is yet to meet our 7 week old only child. The initial ss contact was in regards to my 16 year old but I've still not had any contact about that assesment they apparently did.

I'll be following your post in hope of some good advice. I really hope you can move forward x

My issue is I was given a new social worker half way through my assessment but my old social worker was just awful and twisted everything I said so my new social worker said we would start over, but because I was due a baby she didn't want to put too much on me. Now I wish she had so if was done. I'm due to see her today so I'm going go talk to her about next steps and things. I just didn't know if me asking to supervise before the assessments been done would be too far
