Whilst there has not been a formal conviction yet (that happens in May) we are now seeing the other side of things.

An officer was out today to talk about what is expected. He went to the station yesterday to register his phone and bank card. That was fine. Today he found out he should have given all his user names. (His lawyer and the officer at the station never mentioned that to him) so thankfully this officer did. She believes there will be no custodial sentence but it will be a fine and/or community payback order plus possible continued involvement from CJSW. Plus 5 on SOR (or less depending on judge)

If we go on holiday we have to let them know so they can risk assess. Same with jobs he applies for. It's going to be like this for ages and it's a lot to take in.

it just hurts because he didn't go looking for it and never asked for it. They have confirmed this. They also know how much it's impacted his life. He rarely goes out. Never sees any friends (they don't know what's happened). All for a moment of madness. Looked at images (from P sites) and that was amongst them. Apparently there is a rise in people been caught like this. Innocently looking at such things and those awful images been there. (His story was confirmed by the cyber report and the day they came they knew it was not looked for. That it was accidentally stumbled across)

He has gotten the exact same charges as my partner...

I thought we had finally got to the end and now have an absolute shit storm to go through with SS!

It's been 4 years since the knock, the support for families is really lacking and I am at my absolute wits end!

We wish we got a fine because the community work he has to do now is 200 hours and he can only do it at weekends so it'll take longer to get through it all!

I hope you are ok x

It's just so much to take in isn't it.

the police come once a week to check his devices. Apparently it's only until the court date. Police don't want him online but court bail states he can access internet as long as he doesn't delete history. Oh and the police don't like him having "all that social media " which is literally the same amount most people have (no Snapchat though) They also told him the wrong charge on their last visit too and said there is "evidence" of PayPal transactions for adult images. Yet the cyber report never mentioned PayPal. The evidence read out in court never once mentioned PayPal. So I am worried about that one.

they also told the DWP of his notice and I have no idea why as what's it do with them?

he is seeing this CJSW for the first time this week to get the background report done. Dreading that.

I just want it to be all over
