Neighbours mother plastering it all over Facebook...

Had a message/screenshot from one of our good friends this morning...
Our neighbour's mother has posted about our son on Facebook, claiming that he's living here (he's not) but at the same time saying he's living rough round here (that bit is true). It's now made it's way onto one of the local "watch" groups...
So angry... his life is already ruined without someone who doesn't know the facts (as they rarely do) doing this to him...

This is my biggest fear.
I would contact the Police to see if they can have a little word with her. If that doesn't work, I'd go and see a solicitor. Most give 30 minutes for free and see if they can send her a letter. These people must be stopped. X
Just realised I didn't come back to reply...
It was deleted fairly quickly (we can't decide if the police contacted her or if she had a bollocking from work as she's allegedly a social worker)
Unfortunately still on the vigilante group as they didn't share her post, just her screenshot, but that was already in the public arena as it was a news article...
Thankfully he should have somewhere to live soon, so in the meantime I'm collecting him from where he's camping on a morning to drop him in town and dh is taking him back there once it gets dark, do he's not walking through the village any more, reducing his visibility (he's not coming here for food either)...
