Does anyone know how long it takes for hand swabs and phone analysis to come back?

It varies from force to force. But I would give them 6 months at least.

It's been nearly 2 years.... do I assume that they haven't found anything or they would have been in touch?

Two years is still within the "normal" timeframes that we see on here. It might be an idea to chase up the OIC though and see if they have an update.

There usless Iv logged loads of complaints cause she never gets in touch, he got pulled in for a voluntary interview about the phone a few months ago but it was nothing serious just stupid group chats with the lads. Surly they would have the phone analysis back if they pulled him in about the phone?

Yes, it sounds as if they have completed the analysis now, but that is not the end of the process. After the voluntary interview it may well have been passed to the CPS to decide whether to charge or not. They also have backlogs, so that will be another slow process, unfortunately.

Surly if they had found anything bad they would of pulled him in and asked him about it? All he got asked was about a stupid group chat which he hasn't ever posted in, and a sex video of him and his ex wife 13 years ago... I know it's with the CPS his solicitor sent him a letter saying they hadn't had any updates yet.

thank you for replying (:

It depends what you mean by bad. Sharing an intimate video of someone without their consent is an offence. Did his ex wife know he was sharing it? Did she agree to that?
