Hi, I'm looking for some advice. A few months ago (july 2019) my mums partner was arrested for viewing indecent images of children. He says that it was accidental and that he was looking at other things and it just popped up but the police have told us that the number was in the 20-30s (I can't remember the exact amount) and the police have said it's very unlikely to be an accident.

He is no longer living with us - him and my mother had been together 5 years and I guess it's a lot for me to deal with.. my mother is struggling but I feel she is getting through it but I understand it's going to be hard for everybody involved.

I don't know what to do. I still see him as a father figure but the fact that he's done this is not something I'm taking lightly, accident or not.

Does anybody have any advice for me or any ideas as to what to do?

Thank you so much. I guess it's just really hard cause we all think he's done it but now he's saying that it's an accident so it's all a mess. I'll keep talking to this group and the helpline but I appreciate the support xx

Hi

I'm truly sorry to read your mum's partner is in denial re the image's.

The police won't simply use this as evidence, they will retrieve his computer history, sites visited or attempted and key words used during his internet searches.

Its a long process... Please use this forum to rant and to gather advice.

I wish you the best...

Thank you so much. It's so difficult when he's saying they're an accident abs that they're not there when we're all know what's going on.. I'm exhausted with it all.
