My oh attended saa just after his arrest but soon became very frustrated at it as he felt the majority there had no intention of stopping porn they just did it to pacify others, there was a gent there he met who had also had the knock regarding illoc he called my oh last night for a talk, he went to court Sept 24 1 year supervision 1 year register and some coursework no media exposure kept his job nothing changed for him, my oh was chatting telling him it felt great to be clean that he would never look at porn again, the gent then asked oh how often the police will visit to check his phone as he had had a relapse last week, my oh was horrified and angry at the gent saying how silly he had been and what possessed him, the gent basically said well I will just have to deal with it when the police arrive I survived the first time no problem with no media exposure, as a repeat offender he won't get off so lightly, when you have been given a second chance why not take it, we would have done anything to have escaped the media exposure

After my husband of 30 years, 4 children, went to prison for the same crime, IIOC, I believed he would NEVER put us through all that again. 5 years later, when he was under a great deal of unpredictable stress, he reoffended and is due sentencing soon. People are human. They're also often selfish. Most people never truly break their habits or addictions. There's no way to guarantee that someone will never reoffend, unfortunately.
