Friday check in

I thought I'd start this week's Friday check as I have things to get out of my head!
This week has not been easy. I'd been expecting it as I'd been working all the hours leading up to a deadline. Now that's over and I'm back to normalish hours the distraction has gone, so it's all hitting me round the face like a shovel again. My mood has been really low and I'm so tired. I had my first session of the Inform course this week. I was a little nervous about it so I'm glad it's done. My heart went out to them all. We should not have been forced into this position, but here we are.
My idiot husband should have had his first bail hearing next week, which he was really wound up about. The OIC called the other day to say he doesn't need to go as they've applied for an extension and it'll likely be extended again, taking us up to October. I'm not sure I can be in this limbo for that long, but time will tell. I told him I've been talking to 2 more of my closest friends, which didn't go down well, so I'm working on myself to not feel guilty about him being upset. This is all his stupid fault, not mine and I need the support. He's brought the upset on himself.
Luckily, our daily lives are fairly similar to normal (in a platonic way) when I'm in an ok mood to be near him. I've not got the bandwidth to be angry and snappy all the time. We're seperated but still living together and sleeping in different rooms, and I have to say, I love sleeping on my own. Silver linings and all that. We're going to the garden centre this weekend to buy plants, and we're both looking forward to it.
I hope you can all have the best weekend you can have under the circumstances, and you can find some joy, even if it's just a little. Xx

Hello Friday Check in,
This week has been ok for me. The weather has been nice and the kids are keeping me busy driving around to all their activities. My son had a band concert. He plays trombone. Even though it was his first year, the band sounded pretty good!
I am having some car trouble. I took it to the garage and they were not able to find the source. Ugh.
My husband has been approved for escorted temporary absences from prison. He got to go for a drive through a park this week where a group of them will be mowing grass this summer. He can't wait!
Take care everyone!

Hello friday check in
Some of your story Poppet, is so familiar. My OH and I are in different rooms, and it made me smile when you said you like sleeping on your own. I really like being on my own. I have had my bedroom decorated in a dark wallpaper, OH hates dark rooms, my room is really cold and I have the curtains open. All the things he used to moan about. Recently we went away and had to share a room, crikey, could not wait to get home. But I am glad you are getting support from friends, it is my friends that keep me going.
prairieMom i remember when my kids were younger my yougest son used to play the euphonium and i used to love watching the brass band play with all the kids. I miss those times.
The next week I have off work. Not got any plans yet, but have decided to do things just for me. So I am sitting here planning my week on things that will make me smile. Most things will be on my own, but that does not matter. Will be taking my furbabies out so they will also benefit.
I hope everyone gets to do something nice this weekend.
