Hi all.

Long time no see. Had to take a while away for my mental health. Were a few weeks out from sentencing and my person had pled guilty (I kinda pushed for it as I couldn't handle going through trial) my feelings were that he thinks he9's not guilty as he didn't mean to and while that may be true it was still done so it doesn't matter and I just couldn't go through a trial. I'll never know if it was for the best but oh well.

He pled guilty with statement (basically saying it was reckless behaviour not checking what he was sharing) which the prosacution agreed to. my question is has anyone else done this or have any comments about it?

Hope you're all well

EA, excuse my ignorance but I don't understand what you mean by plead guilty by statement.

Sorry, it is probably so obvious but my little brain won't work lol x

Hi.

I'd never really heard of it either. Basically they've plead guilty with statement (so a letter to the judge with a reasoning / remorse... not actually sure what him and the solicitor put in it tbh)

My ex downloaded some Cat A images that he didn't "mean" to, they were amongst a large file of other images. He didn't look at them or search for them. He was still charged and sentenced for those Cat A images. He had a rubbish legal aid lawyer though. Very much doubt that helped. X
