Hi my OH has been advised to complete the stop it now courses by his solicitor and the police before court. When looking at the courses it is saying they cost £700/800 each and that just isn't possible since he is now unemployed due to this. Has anyone else has this and got them for free or cheaper? We are in England if that makes a difference as read Scotland get them free.
Thanks
Thanks
I'm not certain but I think you can arrange a payment plan so you don't have to find it all in one go.
My husband was advised to do this but didn't as he said it was like he was admitting that he had sexual attraction to kids but the images he had were put in a group chat he never asked for them and never saved them or searched for them so he never done any courses . They don't realise how much these things cost for us on top of paying Solicitors's fees etc x
Did they effect the outcome by not doing them do you think? Like his sentence?
We never did any courses he did join saa due to the fact he watched a lot of porn, it made no difference to the case the solicitor did say that we did the right thing not doing courses when at end of day he never searched it
My son did the Engage Plus course and gained a lot from it. He was completely broken after his arrest but the course really helped him get started on his long, hard journey of recovery.
Hello,
We wanted to respond to this thread to offer some clarity around financial support for Lucy Faithfull Foundation programmes. While Lucy Faithfull Foundation Scotland can provide programmes at no cost, unfortunately we are not able to do so with Inform Plus and Engage Plus. However, it is important to note that Inform, for partners, ex-partners and family members, can be completed free of charge. The reason Lucy Faithfull Foundation Scotland can provide programmes without cost is because they receive funding from governmental and charitable organisations. While we don’t have access to the same funding, we’re committed to ensuring that financial barriers don’t prevent anyone from accessing Inform Plus and Engage Plus. Support options are available, which includes the possibility of paying in instalments as well as financial assistance for those experiencing financial difficulty. The range of support available can be explored by contacting the Stop It Now helpline or in the initial consultation meeting which assesses suitability for the programme. We hope this helps, please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
All the best,
