Waiting time

My husband had 1 police interview in the beginning of October. That was 6 months after the knock. He was told he would be taken to court after that they had found out how many and what type of images he had downloaded. ( all downloads where deleted. He never saved any or sent any on). It has now been over 3 months. Police said approximately 1 months waiting.
So my question is.... does anyone know how long wait it is in a big city? What are we allowed to do in the meantime? Can we book a holiday abroad? Can we arrange to go and stay with our children and see the grandchildren?
The police have not told us anything.

Hi Lis
Until he is convicted there is nothing stopping u from going on holiday, seeing grandchildren or friends with anyone under 18.
However once convicted it is normally mandatory that all offenders are put on the sex register and majority are given a civil order called a SHPO.
This restricts certain activity with the threat of prison if they are not complied with and breached.
After conviction he will require written consent from Probation to go on holiday over seas during his sentence. This will only be approved for urgent reasons such as a funeral, wedding or serious illness.
You will be able to holiday in the UK.
Once convicted countries such as Canada, America, New Zealand and Australia will not allow entry unless a visa is issued by there embassy. Sadly they are rarely issued from what I have read on the hub.unlock.org.uk.
Best wishes....

Dear Lis
Someone very close to me is in a similar situation.
The police returned his laptop and could not find anything illegal on it.
I think police mentioned to him if nothing had been saved he wouldnt be prosecuted.
Police holds his tablet and phone still. He even travelled abroad without telling anybody.
